Chile and Argentina The Southern Edge of The World

These countries share some of the most beautiful landscapes of Latin America, especially in the southern extreme, were Patagonia become a land of wonder. With different idiosyncrasies but with many similarities, the countries are separated for the marvelous Andes Mountain Range that has it highest peak near the frontier, the Aconcagua Mount.

This program will start combining Buenos Aires and Santiago, two of the most important capitals of South America. These two cities will host you and invite you to discover their highlights, enjoining the sights and places where you will embrace the local culture, gastronomy and traditions. After these great experiences in the cities and countryside of Argentina and Chile, we will head to the extreme south of the continent, to the Torres del Paine Park, land of the wind, the glaciers, the Condor and the Puma, to marvel with the wild Patagonia. Our Journey will continue crossing back to Argentina, where the magnificent Perito Moreno glacier will be waiting for you.

We will finish this bold and “once in a life time” adventure contemplating one of the Natural Wonders of the World, the greatest cascade of America, the Iguazú Falls, a wonderful place that will challenge your most wild expectations.

Day 1:Buenos Aires / Giant Ice / Big Waters

Buenos Aires / Giant Ice / Big Waters Arrival to Buenos Aires

Meet with local guide at the International Airport. Reception & transfer to the hotel. Panoramic Visit of the City. This tour portrays the many faces of Buenos Aires: we will visit the symbol of our city, the Obelisk, squares such as Plaza de Mayo, Plaza San Martin and Plaza Alvear; Avenida De Mayo, Corrientes and 9 de Julio among other avenues; La Boca and San Telmo, historic neighborhoods, the magnificent Palermo and Recoleta areas and modern neighborhoods like Puerto Madero; Lezama Park and Tres de Febrero (known as Bosques de Palermo) along with the Ecologic Reserve of the ‘Costanera Sur’ and the commercial and financial areas of the city.

Colón Theatre Visit

The Teatro Colón hides a secret in every single corner of the impressive building. Taking a guided tour of the theater is a dazzling experience that will make you vibrate while getting to know a history of over a hundred years; a history that ennobles both the Argentine and the global culture.

Dinner & Tango Show. Enjoy an unforgettable time at one of the Tango shows that Buenos Aires offers every night with the classic orchestras that revive the original styles with melancholic rhythms reminiscent of the 1940’s. Typical food, served with the best wines, excellent service and atmosphere may enhance the show. The impressive words, showing the most authentic poetry of the city, are interpreted by the most outstanding singers. The show features many professional artists: first rate musicians, dancers and singers join to offer an unforgettable show.

Day 2 Full Day Estancia Monteviejo.

This excursion brings us to the Argentinean countryside where you can enjoy a day on a ranch ‘estancia’ and discover its tradition. Typical ‘empanadas’ and Argentinean wine will be served at the welcoming party. Later, you will enjoy a delicious Argentine-style barbecue. A folkloric show with music and dance will take place. A horse exhibition and the “sortija” will also form part of the show. Ride a horse or hop on a typical “sulki” to get a real feeling of the way of life of the ‘gaucho’. Enjoy the unforgettable experience of getting close to the life in the Pampas and learning about the habits of its people.

Day 3 Buenos Aires/ Santiago


Transfer to the International Airport. Arrival to Santiago, meet and greet and transfer to the Hotel.After resting a while in the Hotel, we will start our touring in Santiago, where we will visit some highlights including the Museum of Pre-Columbian Art; La Moneda, where the current seat of government is located; El Centro’s lively shops and street vendors; and San Cristobal Hill, where a panoramic view of the city and the snow-capped Andes awaits.Our tour will continue with a short visit to the trendy neighborhood of Lastarria, we will enjoy there the great experience of tasting some of Chile’s outstanding wines combined with an exclusive selection of “Tapas” at the Bocanáriz restaurant.

The evening will end visiting the neighborhood of Bellavista, famous for its good places to hang out and get to know Santiago`s nightlife.

Day 4 Full Day Winery Tour

Full Day Winery Tour

After breakfast, we will head to the west until we reach the Casablanca Valley, where our journey will take us to visit the famous wine region and to experience the activities and taste the marvelous wine of the Matetic winery.

After the visit to the Winery we will head to La Casonaa typical, colonial, country home featuring seven stylish rooms. With over 100 years of history, in 2004 it was fully remodeled and beautifully decorated by the renowned Max Cummins. La Casona offers the perfect setting for a relaxing or do some outdoor activities. Our lunch will be served in this beautiful area.

Return to Santiago in the afternoon.

Day 5 -8 Santiago/ Punta Arenas/ Puerto Natales

Day 9 Full day Perito Moreno

This Day you will meet the Giant Ice.Perito Moreno Glacier.

This excursion replaces the conventional visit to footbridges. It is worth taking it!
A navigation in front of the South wall of the amazing Perito Moreno Glacier, a long walk by a captivate forest and finally, the long walk on the Glacier. The guided tour begins in the port located in the Bay “Under the Shade” approximately at 6 km before the Viewpoint of the glacier where you take a boat that crosses the “Brazo Rico” of the Argentine Lake, and after sailing for about 20 minutes oriented towards the Channel of Ice floes and to the South wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier, it disembarks and arrives at the refuge where the guides organize the groups, which are made of up to 10 people each one. A long walk to the glacier begins by the border of the lake, and lasts approximately 20 minutes. The route on the Glacier lasts 2 hours, appreciating in the way diverses icing-ups like: cracks, drains, small lagoons, etc. The return to port takes place with a previous visit to the Channel of Ice floes and the approaching to the walls of the glacier. Before returning to El Calafate, the passengers will be transferred to the Viewpoint of the Glacier and its footbridges, for about 60 minutes.

Duration: 6 hours (navigation and trekking).

Departure: Daily.

Boat: Yagan - Capacity 110 people.

a) Age: Due to the level of effort and difficulty that displays, this excursion can't be done for the following people: olders of 65 years, minors of 10 years, with overweight or some type of disability. (*)

b) Footwear: Any type of sport footwear, for example dull of trekking, slippers. Use thick socks, and prefer the ones of wool or cotton. Rubber boots are not admitted. The tourists only receive grampones.

c) Clothing: Sportive (long trousers, It is advisable to take t-shirt, sweater and overall waterproof. Sunglasses, protective cream and gloves. Also cap for sun or in case of cold.

Day 10 Calafate / Iguazu

Transfer to the Airport to continue the trip to Iguazú Guide Assistance in Buenos Aires.Arrival to Iguazú, meet with the local guide & transfer to the Hotel.

Day 11 Iguazu Water Falls

This day will contemplate one of the Natural Wonders of the World Iguazu Falls. The tour leaves from the hotel to visit the Argentinean side of the Iguazú Falls, 67.000 hectares long, located within Iguazú National Park, one of the first protected areas of America. We are on our way to Estación Central, where we will take a train to Estación Cataratas and/or Estación Garganta del Diablo. It takes 18 minutes to Estació nGarganta. As we walk along the 1200m trail, we enjoy the most spectacular fall: Devil’s Throat. We walk on Upper Circuit: 800m trail rose above the ground surface, so as not to block or scare away our local fauna as they go by. In this circuit, the waterfalls from the upper part of Dos Hermanas, Bosetti, Bernabé Méndez, and M’Bigua among other waterfalls can be observed. Then on Lower Circuit: 1600m trail walk, above the ground surface, with a view from the bottom of Dos Hermanas, Alvar Nuñez, San Martín, Bosetti and Peñon of Bella Vista waterfalls; from Peñon we get a view of Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat) and Cañón del Rio Iguazú inferior. From this circuit, we have an optional visit to ‘Isla San Martín’ Aventura (15min) and/or Gran Aventura Tour (1hr). Departures: daily   07.00am

Great Adventure Navigation. This tour offers an exciting adventure within Iguazú National Park and in Lower Iguazú River. It is divided into 2 parts: firstly, the sailing on the semi-rigid boats to reach the bottom of San Martin, Bosetty, TresMosqueteros and Cañon de Garganta del Diablo falls and down the river rapids up to Puerto Macuco (3 kms from the Waterfalls); secondly, an 8 km ride in a special truck along the rainforest, observing the local flora and fauna with the aid of specialized guides. Feel and experience the Waterfalls in this tour! You can start this tour by boat and then walk, or the other way around.


Degree of difficulty: high, with stairs.

Departures: every hour, from 9.00 am till 5.00 pm -in Winter- and till 5.45 pm -in Summer-

Duration:1 hour.

Difficulty: 100 meters of stairs.

Day 12 Brazilian Iguazu side

If we are staying at a Hotel in Puerto Iguazú, we depart from the Hotel and cross The International Bridge ‘Tancredo Neves’ (Puente de la Fraternidad) that joins the cities of Puerto Iguazú (Argentina) and Foz do Iguazú (Brazil). Here, at the crossing of borders, we have to go through Customs at both sides of the bridge. The Iguazú National Park (on the Brazilian side) is 185.000 hectares long. As we get to the ‘Visitor Center’ we have to enter the Gates individually to check the loading capacity of the Park. We immediately get into the buses that tour along within the park and take us to the 1200 trail over the ‘Iguazú River’. At this point, we get a panoramic view of the Argentinean falls, ideal to take pictures. As we go on, we can see ‘Río Iguazú Canyon’, Salto Rivadavia and TresMosqueteros. Towards the end of the tour, we will get to Devil’s Throat lower viewpoint, 200m away. This beautiful scenery is enhanced by permanent rainbows. The tour ends at ‘Salto Floriano’ where an elevator takes us to the bus parking. The other option is to walk the path and up the stairs to the meeting point. 

Return to the hotel.

At night and the closing of this wonderful and unforgettable journey, enjoy a delicious farewell dinner in one of the best places in Puerto Iguazu; located in the heart of the city, the Aqva Restaurant.
